CFC welcomes hundreds to CFC Summit

CFC, the specialist insurance provider and pioneer in emerging risk, is hosting the company’s first US broker conference, CFC Summit, today in Chicago.

CFC Summit brings together hundreds of commercial insurance brokers from around the United States for a full day of talks on the biggest topics shaping the future of insurance.

An invite-only event, CFC Summit features discussions on the business of insurance and the state of the market; an introduction to emerging risk areas such as intellectual property insurance, artificial intelligence, digital health and fintech; as well as practical, data-driven insights on cyber insurance, cyber claims and incident response.

“The world of insurance is changing rapidly – from the disruption of new technologies in our own industry, to the new risks brought about by the changing role of technology in our customers’ industries,” said Dave Walsh, CFC founder and CEO. “With nearly 20 years’ experience in emerging risks, like cyber, CFC is committed to helping our partners to stay relevant and ahead of the game.”

Speakers at CFC Summit include insurance industry heavyweights, technical experts and CFC customers such as:

  • Steve DeCarlo – Executive Chairman of AmWINS
  • Tori Lallemont – General Counsel of 98point6
  • Ahmed Badr – General Counsel of GoCardless
  • Nigel Swycher – Founder & CEO of Aistemos
  • Carey Lohrenz – 1st female F-14 fighter pilot
  • Dave Walsh – Founder & CEO of CFC
  • Graeme Newman – Chief Innovation Officer of CFC
  • Jonathan Fletcher – CTO of CFC and former Group CTO of Hiscox

In addition to a thought-provoking agenda, CFC Summit attendees are treated to an evening of entertainment and networking with CFC’s expert underwriters representing a broad range of insurance products, as well as a legendary party under the Chicago night sky.

“CFC Summit is a great place for us to connect with our partners, share some ideas, and show our appreciation for the amazing relationships we’ve built,” continued Walsh. ‘We’re looking forward to what will be a one-of-a-kind conference and celebration.”
