Don’t just take our word for it

Our delegates said...

The Summit had the feel of a concert or ballgame event. The stage, lighting and music were outstanding!

I have been to dozens of summits and conferences over the past 2 decades and I felt this one was one of the best! I will certainly be at any subsequent meetings you hold.

I had a great time meeting my underwriters, very valuable for relationship building.

You can always count CFC for top notch speakers, cutting edge topics, and great networking fun. Thanks for giving back to the industry.

Finally a carrier that actually brought something to the table.

One day. Ten sessions. Everything you need to know.

The talks

Get down to business

Change, change, chaaaange… or more of the same? It’s time to get real about distribution models, the value chain, insurtech and who’s actually being ‘disrupted.’

The next big thing

If you were selling cyber before it was cool, then this is the track for you. Get the skinny on the new risks on the block – from AI to IP and all things tech. You heard it here first.

Cyber, of course

We have a particular set of skills. Skills acquired over a very long time selling cyber. Let our specially trained cyber experts walk you through the latest trends, techniques and tools of the trade.

State of play

Dave Walsh, CFC

09:30 CFC’s fearless leader will take us on a whistle-stop tour of the biggest questions facing insurance providers today. Opportunities abound, but are we up to the task? You’re here to find out.

It’s all artificial

Jonathan Fletcher, CFC

11:20 We're in the middle of a revolution that is going to change society and industry. Find out how the digital revolution, specifically AI, will impact you and your business.

It’s all about the data

Graeme Newman, CFC

15:40 Cyber has undergone just a few transformations in the past twenty years - what will the next one be? Here’s our twenty-minute take on the road ahead for cyber insurance, cyber insurers and you.

What lies ahead

Steve DeCarlo, AmWINS

10:00 As Chief Executive Officer of AmWINS Group, Inc., Steve witnessed his fair share of change in the market over the past two decades. Now Executive Chairman of AmWINS, Steve will share his perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing the insurance industry.

On the pulse

Tori Lallemont, 98point6

11:40 AI is making waves in digital health so what does the future hold? What does the regulatory and legal landscape look like and will people embrace it?

Unchartered territory

James Burns, CFC

16:00 Explore the shifting patterns in cyber losses which mirror the shifting trends in global criminal behaviour, and why the ability to spot trends quickly and respond rapidly will be a critical component in offering a sustainable proposition.

We will rock you

Graeme Newman, CFC

14:00 We’re on a mission to radically simplify the way business insurance is bought and sold (read: make your life sooo much easier). Here’s a sneak-peak at the magic you can expect from our tech innovation team this year.

IP, the next cyber?

Nigel Swycher, Aistemos

12:00 Businesses are way behind in insuring their most valuable assets, leaving them seriously exposed in a critical area. The insurance industry is missing a massive opportunity. It begs the question why intellectual property is so massively under-insured?

You’ve been compromised

Tom Bennett, CFC

16:20 CFC’s resident whitehat takes you inside the head of a hacker as he commits a common cyber attack – business email compromise – against one of our own. Will it be you? Watch and learn.

Combat ready for insurance?

Carey Lohrenz, World’s 1st Female F-14 Tomcat Fighter Pilot

14:30 In aviation, complacency kills. The same is true in business. Carey shares lessons learned from the cockpit at Mach 2 – the importance of remaining relevant, staying agile and adaptable.

Banking on AI?

Ahmed Badr, GoCardless

12:20 Fintech brings together technology and finance - neither traditionally ‘risk free’ sectors. So what happens when you throw a little machine learning in the mix? How can AI help fintechs reduce risk, and is it safe?

  • What else?
    • What should I wear?

Insurance is serious business, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Ditch the suit and let’s get business casual (or smart casual as we say in jolly ol’ England).

The weather can be unpredictable in Chicago, so we recommend a light jacket for outdoors (and rogue air-conditioning).

    • I have more questions about the summit – who can I ask?

      We’re here to help! Please contact our team at summit@cfcunderwriting.com or call +44 (0) 207 220 8500
